These images were taken in Tokyo, Japan during a short internship I complete at the Tokyo Women’s Medical College as a graduate student in October of 2005.  During this trip I also attended a conference in Sapporo, Japan.  Tokyo is an incredible city and at night the lights, billboards, and neon signs are almost to much sensory overload for those not used to that much visual stimulation.  It also takes a little while to get used to being crammed into the subway car standing room only style during rush hour, but all part of the adventure.  Of course if you like Sushi then there is no better place in the world to have it than Tokyo, but even if you don’t like sushi you can find excellent options from all over the world.  Just be ready to pay though as Tokyo lives up to its name as one of the most expensive cities in the world and this also applies to the food.
